Para Judo

In Para Judo, competitors aim to throw their opponent to the ground, immobilize them with a pin, or force a submission with a joint lock or choke. Victory is achieved through two means: an ippon, awarded for a decisive throw or submission that ends the match immediately, and waza-ari, given for less decisive moves. Matches last four minutes, and the judoka with the highest score, or the one who achieves ippon, wins. Athletes are classified into weight categories and divisions, based on their level of visual impairment.
Two judokas are engaged in a judo match. The judoka on the left is wearing a white gi and has a grip on the collar and sleeve of the judoka on the right, who is wearing a blue gi. The judoka in blue is on the ground, using his right leg to push against the hip and leg of the judoka in white while gripping the white gi with his hands.
