Taekwondo

Taekwondo is a martial art where athletes aim to strike their opponent with kicks and punches while evading attacks. Combining rapid kicking and punching movements, matches take place on an octagonal mat over three rounds of two minutes each. Points are awarded based on the difficulty of techniques used, with head kicks scoring higher than strikes to the trunk, and spinning kicks earning additional points.
Two athletes in protective gear are engaged in a taekwondo match. The athlete on the left, wearing blue protective gear, is executing a high kick aimed at the athlete on the right, who is wearing red protective gear. Both athletes are mid-air.
